Having worked in emergency medicine for many years, our desire to help others and sense of duty to serve extends not only to people but animals as well. We at Washington Animal Rescue Alliance have a passion for our K9 and Feline counterparts.
With the disappointingly large number of them being euthanized each year when unable to find a new home after being abandoned, abused and mistreated, we are here to help. To make a difference; to help provide a better life than their current, by those who failed them before. Here they will find happiness and a world full of adventure, while they await their forever families.
We work on the frontline in Rescue Operations, assist with transport statewide and coordination outside of the state. We assist with and support feral colony TNR and maintenance. Owner surrenders and rehoming. We provide long-term care for medical needs rescues, rehabilitating before finding their happily ever after's. And, run a Forever Foster program for those with chronic medical challenges, until the end of their days.
Through our partnerships across the state, we grow our reach everyday, to work alongside many other extremely dedicated rescuers and organizations, to make the largest impact for as many animals as possible.

Our mission is to provide a safe place to call home, while searching for the best new life possible for all of our K9 and Feline friends. We strive to be a place where broken trust can be repaired and the lost faith of having not been loved or cared for, re-established.
We will work through the damages of any past abuse, trauma or illness, to help all of our rescue pack members thrive. Our hope is to strengthen their sense of purpose and rebuild their confidence in belonging to a life of happiness.
While understanding the needs of each animal and where their individual journeys began, we will compassionately help prepare them for their new Forever Home. One with a family who is committed to providing them the love they have so desperately longed for.
Our Forever Home Families are carefully screened and must successfully pass very extensive requirements to help assure our rehabilitated K9 and feline companions never experience the devastation of being mistreated or abandoned again.
